Curriculum

Our topic this term is ‘ Space’, we are looking forward to lots of exciting learning opportunities!

In literacy we will be reading and taking part in different space related stories. We will be encouraged to use our voices to ask for resources during the story, we will be learning lots of new words and symbols! We will be encouraged to listen to the strories and join in with sounds and words.

In maths we are learning to use number names and represent numbers using a variety of marks, we will be learning and using the language related to size.

  • In science we are learning solids, liquids and gases, we will be taking part in lots of different exciting experiments to see how theses elements react.
  • In our creative curriculum we will be creating and making lots of space themed crafts.
  • In PE we are working on developing our dance and coordination skills and in swimming we are working on our confidence and water skills, swimming on our fronts as independently as possible!

Events

We are excited about using class DoJo to keep in contact and update parents everyday! If you have not yet joined our class DoJo please speak to a class 4 team member and we can help you get up and running!

Homework

We love finding out what you have been upto with your children at home. Our homework this term will be focusing on  50 things to do before you are 5. Every 2 weeks we will send a focus for your child to work on at home and complete small experiences to record in their homework books.
